Drift is the title of my first solo project. An album where all sounds come exclusively from a piano,as an investigation from an intimate and experimental perspective. The intent from the very beginning was to play around with the rules, leaving space for chance and the unexpected. Thus the piano becomes a complete acoustic tool further beyond its keys: looking into different ways of playing it and using everyday objects to interact with.
This search process results in a wide range of sounds which, transformed and processed, even loose, from time to time, their acoustic common identity, disguised as electronic sounds. All of the tracks in Drift share this common aim but at the same time, there are lots of nuances that make them all different; each with its own personality.This album is a personal search. A drifting journey through experimentation to unforeseen and unique places.
